Today we launch Fractal Fridays—a brand-new series exploring the Bible through an extraordinary, unifying lens.

For the next 15 Fridays (starting right now on February 27, 2026), I’ll be posting deep dives into the Fractal Bible: the breathtaking idea that the entire Scripture is not a loose collection of disconnected stories, but one living, self-similar fractal—a divine pattern that repeats at every scale, revealing the intentional artistry of our Triune God.

Never heard of fractals? I hadn’t either—until I stumbled upon this simple yet mind-blowing mathematical reality: infinite complexity emerging from a single repeating rule, appearing everywhere in creation (coastlines, trees, lungs, galaxies…). It stopped me in my tracks and made me wonder: Could the God who embeds such elegant self-similarity throughout the natural world have woven a similar repeating pattern into His Word?

What if Scripture’s recurring themes—chaos ordered into beauty, image-bearers placed to rule, heaven and earth drawn into sacred overlap, exile followed by restoration—are not accidents or coincidences, but deliberate echoes of one grand design? A design that builds relentlessly toward its climax in Christ and the New Jerusalem, pulling us back toward the perfect Eden we were made for and are journeying home to?

That’s exactly what we’ll explore together in this series. We’ll trace the fractal iterations across the Bible, see how every story reflects the whole, and grow in awe at God’s unstoppable, redemptive masterpiece.

Imagine standing before an infinite coastline, where every inlet reveals smaller inlets, every cove hides tinier coves—yet the same graceful curve repeats at every scale. This is the world of fractals: simple rules birthing boundless beauty.

Scripture moves exactly this way. From Eden’s perfect overlap to the New Jerusalem’s eternal embrace, the Bible traces a sacred pattern that repeats, enlarges, fractures, and restores—always drawing heaven and earth closer.

Creation is ordered, filled, and rested in. Sin fractures the overlap. God re-orders, re-fills, and draws nearer. The pattern iterates through flood and ark, wilderness and tabernacle, temple and exile, incarnation and resurrection, church and consummation—each cycle echoing the last yet surpassing it in intimacy and glory.

We tell this story poetically because the pattern itself is beauty—the beauty of a God who is infinitely rich yet perfectly simple, pursuing His broken image-bearers with relentless, self-similar love. Prose explains. Poetry evokes worship.

Beneath the lyric runs a clear spine: one “divine fractal rule” and numbered iterations so you can always trace the structure even as you feel the splendor.
