Lord God of all Blessings,
We come before you with joyful hearts, knowing your faithfulness, greatness and goodness to us, an undeserving people.
We enter your courts with thanksgiving, resting in the fact that you are our Creator, and have made us to be the sheep of your pasture.
Lord, we are grateful for your steadfast love that endures forever. It has sustained us this past year and we thank you for your kind presence with us through many trials and tragedies. We take great comfort in knowing that all circumstances of life come to us from your hand. Despite our lack of understanding of them in the present time we rest in the fact of this promise which is true for all that are in Christ Jesus.
… we know that You cause all things to work together for good to we who love You, for we are called according to Your purpose. For we whom you foreknew, You have predestined to become conformed to the image of Your Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many of the family of God;
Like Him, we are called to be conformed not to our own wills but to His. And in Him our calling is certain, our justification is finished and we in His righteousness, joyfully await the final and full consummation of Your glory made full in our own resurrected bodies.
Today we celebrate the ways in which you are making this promise a reality, day by day, in conforming us to Your Son. In joy and in sorrow you are making us to drink of His cup of blessing and to eat of Him the faithful and true Word from Heaven.
Lord help us to see clearly your hand in our lives. Help us to know with certainty that all you bring to us is for our improvement as children and citizens of Heaven and earth.
Help us to serve you with gladness, knowing that you are the source of our strength and joy.
In moments of challenge, remind us of your faithfulness and mercy, just as the psalmist declared.
May our lives reflect the gratitude that flows from hearts brought to surrender before your will.
We rejoice in your presence, O Lord, and we thank you for the privilege of being called your children.
