If you’re not aware, this topic has exploded online over the past several weeks. The Iran war has escalated questions of why, how, and for what purpose—and the answers have revealed the very political nature of the theology discussed in this group. It seems for the most part that discussions in this group major on the theological aspects; however, we are witnessing today that the theological has spilled out into the political and cultural realms in new ways.

It isn’t that these are entirely new ways, but they are manifesting in clearer and more obvious forms most recently. Daniel Hummel’s book, which this series of posts is focused upon, does a masterful job of highlighting the political nature of the dispensational market. I use that word deliberately because it is significantly a theology that has been marketed. I’ll not spend any time now explaining that, but as the series unfolds, it will become quite clear that this is the case.
